Debbie K. Webb-Johnson, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Do you feel things are beyond your control? Are you at a point in your life where you want to obtain the skills to regain control over distressing circumstances or overwhelming emotions?
Possibly, you feel “stuck” in moving forward in your life due to a traumatic life experience or situation. You may desire the opportunity to develop appropriate skills to calm your feelings of anxiousness. If you want a nonjudgmental atmosphere where you can voice your feelings and concerns and gain a new perspective on life, I would love to meet with you.
As a licensed professional counselor with over six years of experience and a school counselor with more than 10 years of experience, I am deeply committed to helping children, adolescents, and adults overcome stress and anxiety, cope with grief and loss, develop a positive mindset and motivation, improve self-esteem, and increase self-confidence. I employ a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, sandtray therapy, and play therapy techniques for clients under twelve.
My background in working with trauma survivors equips me to offer coping skills that include mindfulness strategies, relaxation skills, breathing exercises, and grounding techniques. I am pursuing an Educational Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling in traumatology to further enhance my ability to assist trauma survivors.
As a 10-year survivor of breast cancer, I understand firsthand how a traumatic experience can impact your life. My goal is to facilitate your ability to become your best self by helping you develop the skills and strategies for navigating life’s challenges, resolving problematic situations, and regaining control of your life. My therapeutic style is designed to meet your individual needs.
While I work in the Beaumont office on Mondays and Thursdays, I also offer virtual appointments on most weekdays. I do provide a limited number of evening virtual appointments.
